Owner and creator of Studio of the Sol. As a passionate creative therapist/designer who is dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey to wellness and self-discovery through creativity. With a background in design and the creative art’s I integrate expressive techniques such as beading and mindfulness into my workshops. My approach emphasises on the interconnectedness of mind and body and so fostering a nurturing environment for healing and personal growth and creativity. I am committed to empowering others. I believe in the transformative power of creativity and the potential within each person to achieve balance and harmony in their lives through the creative arts.

Creative activities & you

Creative outlets serve as a powerful channel for self-expression which enables individuals to connect with their inner selves.

Through various forms of creative arts, you can create a unique space where thoughts and emotions can be transformed into tangible experiences. 

Tangible experiences play a crucial role in calming the nervous system because they engage our senses and create a grounding effect that shifts our focus away from stressors and anxieties. Sensory engagement helps us to anchor ourselves in the present moment encouraging mindfulness and reducing feelings of overwhelm.

When we engage in tangible experiences, we activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the body's "rest and digest" functions. These activities often lead to a state of relaxation, as they can reduce the levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) and increase feelings of safety and stability. 

By providing a positive outlet for emotions and thoughts, this process offers a therapeutic way to navigate stress, promoting overall well-being and emotional balance and who isn’t searching for some balance.

So, the impact on oneself when participating in creative arts extends beyond mere self-expression; it engages the mind, body, and soul in profound ways. Individuals often experience heightened states of awareness and presence when they participate in creative activities which can lead to a sense of tranquillity and mindfulness. 

This holistic engagement promotes mental clarity, emotional resilience, and spiritual fulfillment. Thus, creative outlets become a pathway to healing and transformation, nurturing a deeper understanding of oneself.

 

 

  • My previous experience as an artist and designer allows me to share my knowledge and creativity with others. I have been practicing for more than three decades, and am happy to combine my skills to assist others to heal.

    Naturally my love for creativity, meditation, mindfullness silence, multidisciplinary arts and mind body experiences has helped my clients heal holistically. I spent years suffering with anxiety and living completely out of alignment. Through my own healing journey I began to understand how to connect with the physical body and my mental state.

    I want to teach people to reprogram and heal their own lives using the creative process to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages.

  • Everyone deals with stress, anxiety and emotional trauma, which can cause one to become sick, suffer from anxiety, depression, disease and addictions.

    It’s not always easy healing yourself and at times can be uncomfortable, but remember change is worth the discomfort, living with negative inner dialogue can be exhausting and frustrating and can hold us back from being our best selves.

    We blend traditional meditation theories to create a system that suits our clients, and can be taken and performed anywhere, anytime.

    If ones life force is low this is when we may feel stressed or become unwell, but when our life force is at a higher frequency we are more capable of being happy and healthy. By reprogramming our subconscious mind this helps to break the negativity and habits that we hold on to.

    It is a very powerful choice to want to be better to want to grow and make change to that that no longer works for you. It’s proven that relaxation strategies can help to reduce stress and anxiety, and by using holistic methods we are able to create and open new paths to help assist us throughout our lives.
